I receive a friendship message from an unknown number. I try to find out who but the person pretends to be a girl interested in me. I call up to find a girl’s voice whom I could not recognize. I spoke in Tamil and she reciprocated back in Tamil confirming me that it is someone I know. This is not the first time someone is trying this one me for I have fooled several of my friends and they always try to fool be back. But this guy had kept in mind for almost 4 years.
I remember one day during my PG I wanted to have tea and vada but nobody accompanied me. So I made up a story. One of our class girls is getting married with her boyfriend and she requires us to sign for her. The so caring classmates of her got ready for the show. All well dressed (except me) started to have Tea (Oops. for the marriage!!) One of the group was very curious. Doubted he asked me why I was not properly dressed. I explained that her boyfriend is buying dress material for me. He was so furious and we had a heated argument on billing her boyfriend utilizing the situation. At the tea shop the prank ends and we had tea (definitely I was the sponsor). I challenged him to fool one more day and started with the SMS prank an year later. He got fooled in that too.
As I knew its a prank I threatened him(or her) to lodge a complaint with a police for sending unwanted messages. There the story ends and he doubtfully sends a message “Is it Shankar?”. Though I found it is a prank I was not able to judge who it was. He won that way.
And it also reminded me that when you fool too many people it is difficult to judge when they fool you back.
