Snapshots – Effects!

Hey! Its been a long time I blogged.. Work has kept me very busy! And life is going on interesting! I wish to publish more in 2012 atleast to make sure I don’t lose my Google rankings. Here is a collection of events and thoughts.. ๐Ÿ™‚

The Panipuri Effect

I really don’t understand whats so addictive about pani puri. I got to experience pani puri at Mathura. I would accompany Prince to the road side pani puri stalls and search for ‘atta ka puri’. Does it really make a difference between ‘atta ka puri’ and ‘maida ka puri’? Yes it does if you are crazy about it..

Now its my wife.. She would always keep away from it citing cleanliness. Never mind! Forced her to experience it.. The impact.. Daily visit to pani puri stall, never mind even its 9:00 at night. Guess what! we were not the only ones… Today at 9:00 PM the pani puri walla had to serve us even when he was about to close and just when have finished there were two more couples. Soon I am expecting 24hrs pani puri service at our locality ๐Ÿ™‚ Coz my wife feels pani puri keeps her active and awake… ๐Ÿ™‚ ‘Red Bull’ You’ve got competition

The Android Effect

I would criticize many for their gadget buying process. People want all features for the limited budget they have and end up buying something that has all the features and end up being totally useless. A typical example is the cheap chinese make mp4 players. You good get some good mp3 payers for that price and hear some good music. I did the same mistake buying a Samsung Corby pro. Though it was a good for calls and texting it was a worse smart phone. I had to switch to an android phone to receive my office emails. Everyday I am using it I am getting amazed. The same amazement I had when I first used computers when I was a kid. Infact the internet time I spend on my computer has drastically come down. Yes guys! Mobility is the future..

The Flipkart Effect

These guys are amazing! Flipkart was not the first of my online shopping experience. But the first time I did it I am just getting addicted to it. Just can’t imagine how they keep their prices lowest in the market. And they deliver it fast and neat. And many times I realize I buy something outside without knowing they are on flipkart at a much lower price. Expecting an android app that reads my mind and alerts me if the product that I am about to buy is on flipkart. Android help me save my money ๐Ÿ™‚

The Job Change Effect

Sometimes I feel its better to have a job change. Only then you realize how stupid you are. The effect, I am spending time relearning right from the basic sciences. Yeah! have to put Dan Ariely, Gladwell and Taleb to rest. The learning CD’s (Edurite) available today for school students are good (Yeah! Available at Flipkart), wished I had these during my school days. Got a lot of insight from the Wipro-EI Quality Education Study 2011 , even during our days rote learning was prevalent. It pains to reveal your stupidy but how else do you learn?

The Kolaveri Effect

Was it a marketing effect? Nope.. I don’t think my two yr old son will fall prey for it. It has the real magic guys. I am amazed seeing him glued to the song as he never sits before the TV.
