Back to Books

So here I am back to collecting books. I remember years back I used to buy lots of books just to put the pressure on me to read it for the cause of financial investment. People used to comment on what basis those books are ever goinu help me. Today I see in my Jack of all trade job, that each thing I learnt really helps. I’ve managed my professional years mostly with EBooks. On a boring Saturday evening the Rs. 500 birthday gift cheque tempted me to step into a bookshop. I stepped out with a book on Supply Chain, Database Design and Metaphysics. That Sunday was spent on the Database Design.

On a trip to Kolkata I was tempted towards management books at the airport. Not finding a suitable book I picked Robin Sharma’s book on Leadership (the reason was that it was cheap). It was nothing better than grandma’a bedtime stories. I donno if I commented too much on that book, I lost it in a train ๐Ÿ˜‰

Browsing thru the streets of Kolkata I came across Crossword. My temptations pushed me in and there, I come out with a book on Performance Management and History of India. The later is still untouched ๐Ÿ˜‰

One more boring Saturday evening back to landmark again. ‘The Trouble with Physics’ and a book on leadership, two more books to be used as pillow.

Here I am in my bed with all books racked and me thinking which one to read. I think of the investment made and see the returns this quarter ๐Ÿ˜‰
