It was drizzling lightly in Bangalore and the temperature less than normal. Keshav woke up well before the alarm due to the cold. He switched on the TV to watch the morning news. ‘Mumbai at war’, Oh! Back again Keshav thought, some Serial blasts in Mumbai! Nothing concerned him coz as for every other Indian this is not surprising news. It keeps happening once in a year just like the monsoons. But some news that came along did concern him. The markets are closed and he has nothing to do for the day.

So he complained, complained the government and the puppet prime minister, complained the police for their incapability, complained the Army for acting late, complained the Home minister, well he has nothing new to complain than the other citizens who at the comfort of their homes can spend a minute of silence for the dead ones or light a candle in some website.

His wife woke up to the noise of TV. Keshav showed her how irresponsible the government is, etc.. etc..have been. She asked why Keshav kept loosing money in the stock market. Keshav did not expect this question from her. He explained her that the stock market is not so easy and unless she knew what it is and involved in trading she cannot comment him about his failures. ‘So what have you done as a citizen and part of this government to complain them?’, she asked. Silence was the reply from Keshav.

Citizens of India lets stop complaining what we don’t know. The government is not someone who was sent by god to do work for us. We are the government. Before complaining let’s ask ourselves ‘What have we done!’. Our responsibilities do not end with Voting and Tax paying.
